Predator
Views
When
you pack a view camera
into the desert alone
you make a choice between weight and water.
What
is important to me as an artist is the wandering...
what I bring back are these photographs.

These
images were made during solitary walks in El Gran Desierto
at the border of the desert southwest and Mexico. The Southwest
Center at the University of Arizona has recocognized this
work with a fellowship to record what is here at the turn
of this century in the hope that this does not become a
record of what we have lost.
